From their '95 debut album, "Rain Without End" to their sophomore set "Grey Dawn," four years later, October Tide maintained a low profile. That profile sank even lower when the group disbanded in '99.
After leaving Katatonia, a Heavy Metal band from Stockholm, Fred Norrman reformed October Tide in early '09.
The line-up for the Doom Metal group didn't include founding member Jonas Renkse, but had Norrman (guitar), Tobias Netzell (vocals) and Robin Bergh (drums), with Jonas Kjellgren playing bass for recording sessions.
"A Thin Shell" was issued in '10 with Pierre Stam filling a bass slot a short time later.
But Netzell and Stam didn't prove to be long term members and were replace in '12 by Mattias Norrman, also an ex-Katatonia member, and Alexander Hogbom, respectively.
"Tunnel Of No Light," dropped the following year. The next personnel change came when Bergh was replaced by Jocke Wallgren prior to "Winged Waltz," the group's fifth studio effort.
