The Devil Wears Prada
"With Roots Above And Branches Below," the third album by The Devil Wears Prada, peaked at #11 on the Billboard Album Chart. As a result, they were voted 2009's Band of the Year by readers of Alternative Press.
Four years earlier, The Devils Wears Prada formed in Dayton, OH. They took their name from the novel and film of the same name thinking it had an anti-materialism theme. That turned out not to be the case, but the Christian Metalcore outfit decided to keep the name.
A year after forming, The Devil Wears Prada issued their debut album, "Dear Love: A Beautiful Discord" ('06) followed by sophomore effort "Plagues" ('07).
The five track "Zombie" EP ('10) preceded the release of the band's fourth album "Dead Throne," which sold 32,000 copies to land at #10 on the Billboard chart. It also topped the Christian Album charts and peaked at #3 on the Rock and Hard Rock Album charts.
